While a number of homes of prominent people in Rosedale, Ellis Real Estate advertisements in Rosedale, and cottages at Pickerel Lake are identified, the majority of buildings and people in the collection are not. Also included are slides (4) and color photographs (9) , 1972, generally related to Ernest Hemingway in Michigan. Other topics documented in the collection include a Petoskey gardening show, 1936; Christmas images, winter sports festival queen in Petoskey, circa 1930s, and lumbering. A gorgeous image of Grand Rapids and Indiana Railroad depot, including the baggage wagon and staff, at Traverse City, 1890 is included.
